By fostering both personal growth and academic excellence, Valor creates a thriving, inclusive community that empowers students to achieve their full potential. The student and educator experience at Valor is anchored in the Compass model, which fosters holistic and adaptive development through a focus on community and relationships as well as individual work to understand oneself. As learners engage in the Compass Phase System and Circle, the community comes together to support themselves and each other, supporting development and growth across the Compass Habits and Disciplines. As a result, students and faculty report a strong sense of connection and community. The Compass approach is combined with a rigorous academic model, which has led to Valor students rank in the top 5% of achievement scores and top 1% of growth scores in the state of Tennessee.
