Why Tomorrow’s Leadership Collaborative (TLC) Charter was nominated

TLC takes a unique approach to serving all students well by ensuring that academic content is delivered in line with their students' interests. All students are challenged and supporting in reaching high expectations academically., Universal accommodations and a co-teaching model are two of the essential elements for TLC's educational approach. All teachers receive professional development and on-going coaching and feedback related to their co-teaching practice. The school also offers accommodations to all as a general practice and provides specific services through push-ins to general education classrooms.

Student experience design

TLC's learning environment is designed to provoke curiosity, interest, and joyful learning through an enriched and diverse-by-design school setting. Students at TLC engage in active learning through play, friendship, and group work in addition to the more traditional academic pathways and familiar activities of daily classroom learning. Our intentionally cultivated, inclusive environment invites students to discover their unique passions, understand themselves as learners, and develop friendships and positive relationships with peers and classmates at school.
