Manara Academy District serves a highly diverse population of students. Many of their families are immigrants for whom Manara is their first experience with the American education system. They are implementing a tactic called family academies across their district in an effort to drive family engagement. While they had begun planning for the strategy prior to COVID-19, they have ramped up their process in light of the pandemic in order to ensure that students and families have what they need to success with virtual and blended instruction.
