Dr. Romero and DISD have launched a diverse-by-design hybrid learning model centering on equity and innovation. In its first year of operation, the school is receiving high achievement and growth as measured by the district and the system (due to parental demand) and has decided to expand the grades served from MS to ES as well. Dr. Romero has worked closely with her community to center the school design on individual learners needs, styles and interests. , Dallas Hybrid Prep is the first public hybrid school in Texas. We provide virtual learning three times a week, and students come to our campus twice a week for in-person learning. We now serve 3rd to 8th grade., Dallas Hybrid is a grade 3-8 school and the first public hybrid school in Texas. Since 2021, the school has had an average of 67% proficiency in ELA and 50% in Math, and has improved performance by 24 pts in ELA and 22 pts in Math. The school personalizes learning pathways to help students achieve mastery.
