The school is excited to serve all students between the ages of 16 and 21 who have been disenfranchised from educational opportunity, including refugee students, single parents, students with disabilities, gifted learners, English language learners, or anyone looking for a customized approach to learning. This includes crafting flexible schedules for those students who cannot attend school regularly due to child care or employment, and partnering with UNM and CNM to offer college and career training which is integrated into students’ high school curriculum. They developed partnerships with the following agencies to offer paid internships to our scholars that lead directly to professional careers after school with NM Workforce Solutions, Albuquerque Public Schools Internship Program, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of New Mexico, and the Career Enrichment Center.
